Three rounds of procurement agreements were signed between China Baowu Steel Group Corp and its global partners on the sidelines of the ongoing 6th China International Import Expo on Wednesday.

The deals include the purchase of intelligent equipment, global minerals and productive resources, as well as global mineral resources.

Wang Jiming, vice-president of China Baowu Steel Group Corp said this is the sixth year in a row for China Baowu to take part in the China International Import Expo and make a contribution to the growing influence of the CIIE.

"We will constantly take the procurement as the channel to focus on low-carbon metallurgy and projects related to the Belt and Road initiative, actively promote global cooperation in advanced equipment and high-quality resources, to promote the global supply chain to achieve higher efficiency in resource allocation and communication integration," Wang said.

At this year's CIIE, Baowu looks forward to realizing more efficient resource allocation and communication with global supply chain partners, and achieving more mutually beneficial cooperation, added Wang.

With a vision of becoming a global leader in the steel and advanced materials industry, as well as a vision of adhering to the roadmap of high-end, intelligent, green and highly efficient development, China Baowu produced 130 million tons of steel in 2022, reporting 1.15 trillion yuan sales revenue last year, according to Wang.
