A 1,000-volume multilingual library and lunchtime concerts at the media center have also attracted considerable interest. The concerts are aimed at highlighting Shanghai's dynamic culture through folk, vocal, chamber, and jazz music.

Journalists can also interact with inheritors of intangible cultural practices and view installations reflecting the evolution of Chinese and Shanghai customs.

"This is my first time at the CIIE," said journalist Arsen Askarov from Kapital.kz, a Kazakh media outlet. "It's a great exhibition and the media center is so big."
