Policy bank backs info infrastructure lending
China Development Bank, one of the country's policy banks, extended over 13.1 billion yuan ($1.82 billion) in loans to the information infrastructure and scientific and technological infrastructure sectors during the first three quarters. In the information infrastructure sector, the bank's loans mainly went to support expanding the 5G network, fixed broadband network and industrial internet, as well as the digital transformation of manufacturing industries. In the scientific and technological infrastructure sector, the bank mainly provided financial support for projects related to research facilities and technology development venues, among others.
Software sector reports expansion
China's software and information technology services industry registered double-digit growth in revenue and profits in the first nine months, official data showed. Profits of the sector reached 1.01 trillion yuan ($140.7 billion) during the period, soaring 18.3 percent year-on-year, said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The combined revenue of the sector came in at 8.76 trillion yuan during the period, up 13.5 percent.
2 converted ARJ21 air freighters delivered
Commercial Aircraft Corp of China Ltd (COMAC) delivered the first batch of two air freighters converted from ARJ21 passenger planes on Monday, a milestone in the conversion program for China's domestic regional jetliner. The converted aircraft has a designed maximum payload of 10 metric tons and a flight range of 2,778 kilometers. It is primarily intended for transporting cargo, mail and express shipments on domestic routes and short-haul international routes, according to COMAC.
