Sixth China-Arab states expo resumes on-site activities

This year's event is anticipated to result in the signing of more than 400 projects totaling more than 170 billion yuan ($23.2 billion), which will hit a record high. In particular, investment projects will make for the majority—more than 90 percent—of all initiatives, according to the expo organizer.
The expo has become an important platform for China and Arab states to take pragmatic cooperation and advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, according to the expo organizer.
China is now the Arab states' largest trading partner. China-Arab trade volume almost doubled from the 2012 level to $431.4 billion last year. In the first half of this year, trade between China and the Arab states reached 199.9 billion dollars, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed.
