Main Media Center of Hangzhou Asian Games starts trial operation

HANGZHOU -- With around two weeks before the 19th Asian Games open in Hangzhou, the Main Media Center (MMC) was put into trial operation on Saturday.

Located near the main stadium of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center, where the Games' opening ceremony will take place, the MMC includes the Main Press Center (MPC) and International Broadcasting Center (IBC).

The MMC will be officially open on Sept 18, according to the organizing committee.

The 19th Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province between Sept 23 and Oct 8, featuring a total of 40 sports.

The Hangzhou Asian Games will be the third Asian Games held in China, following the Beijing Asian Games in 1990 and the Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010.
