Yellow peach farmers from Yicun village and grape growers from Dongkaihetou village have recently enjoyed brisk sales, thanks to a local e-commerce platform.

In livestreaming sessions, residents of the two villages in Guanxian county, Liaocheng, Shandong province, got to show the audience where their fruit was grown and how it was harvested.

According to Cheng Lifeng, an official from the county’s Wangcun village, the sessions have attracted a considerable amount of online attention.

“Thanks to the development of e-commerce, sales revenues for our village’s agricultural products have increased, and sales channels have also expanded,” Cheng says.

As the number of customers has grown, prices have also risen, encouraging more farmers to engage in quality agricultural production, Cheng adds.
