Ministry affirms efforts to build future industrial strength

China's top industry regulator said on Tuesday that it will step up push to cultivate future industries such as artificial general intelligence, 6G, and quantum technology to create new competitive advantages.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said in a meeting in Beijing that it will spare no efforts to implement work plans to stabilize growth in key industries, improve the regular communication mechanism with enterprises, and boost enterprises' confidence.

The moves are part of the ministry's broader push to achieve its annual target and improve China's sprawling industrial economy in both quality and quantity.
