The Peking Duck Museum, atop the seven-story Quanjude restaurant, provides an entertaining and educational experience. Founded in 2014, the museum will soon celebrate the 150th anniversary of Quanjude, which now has about 100 branches worldwide.
The entrance of the museum has a giant gold duck statue to welcome visitors with luck and charm. Clay models inside illustrate the different stages of the cooking process.
On the walls are pictures of national leaders and comments from Chairman Mao Zedong and Prime Minister Zhou Enlai about Peking roast duck.
