China Family Sailing Race - Suzhou Wujiang East Taihu Lake Leg ends

A total of 40 family teams took part in the China Family Sailing Race - Wujiang East Taihu Lake Leg, which ended on Sunday.
The event completed 8 rounds and decided the winners and runners-up in each category over two days of competition. For many first-time sailors, the first goal of completing the whole course was realized while also having and experiencing sailing.
The Guangzhou Zhujiang Friends Team, which has competed in the Family Sailing Race several times, won the championship again. "We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the Family Sailing Race," said helmsman He Xiaojun. "With a big number of participants, it is casual and entertaining. The experience is also fantastic. Each stop allows us to meet old friends and learn about new customs and traditions. Thanks to the efforts by the organizers, each race is a unique trip for us!"
The attraction of sailing is that everyone finds his or her own motivations and pleasures. The team of Sailing Against the Wind took their 8-year-old son on board, claiming sailing gave them a sense of success.
To help participating families enjoy the fun and sense of accomplishment that sailing provides while competing, the event has optimized the rules by adopting a simple and easy-to-run triangular course and adding a 3-minute countdown digital flag to help teams better control their sailing time.
