The largest land port on the China-Russia border — Manzhouli, in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region — recorded 10.09 million metric tons of imports and exports in the first half of this year. The figure represents 46.1 percent growth year-on-year and a record high, according to China Railway Harbin Group.

Since the beginning of this year, traffic volume at Manzhouli port has seen robust growth, handling a maximum of 28 trains in a single day, eight of which were outbound, the group said.

In recent years, the group has taken proactive steps to optimize operations, including special transportation plans for different enterprises and enhancing port clearance procedures.

The Manzhouli station has optimized its transportation and customs clearance processes in cooperation with Customs and other local departments to ensure the smooth delivery of goods.
