Rural 'Super League' a hit for Guizhou county

The village that kicked off the rural "Super League" in May in Rongjiang county of Southwest China's Guizhou province has attracted massive tourists across China and has driven the local economic development in tourism, catering, accommodation, cultural and creative sector, and agricultural products.
The event attracted more than 420,000 tourists in just one month during the competition, and in May the county welcomed more than 1 million tourists, an increase of 39.7 percent year-on-year, to realize tourism income of 1.24 billion yuan, which surged 52.08 percent from last year, according to the local government.
