Monument erected in Oman to commemorate ties

A monument commemorating ancient Chinese navigator Zheng He was unveiled in Salalah, the second-largest city in Oman, on Tuesday to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the West Asian country.

The monument by the seaside, which resembles a sailing vessel, was designed by the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design and 3D-printed. The Guangzhou city government provided support for the building of the monument.
