Clean energy capacity rises in Jan-Apr
China's newly installed capacity of clean energy increased steadily in the first four months of 2023, as the country stepped up efforts to ensure sufficient energy supply and cut emissions. Newly installed capacity of wind and photovoltaic power reached 62.51 million kW from January to April, data from the National Energy Administration showed on Thursday.
Tech firm opens new factory in Bangladesh
Transsion Holdings, a China-based smartphone manufacturer, inaugurated its ISMARTU factory in Bangladesh on Wednesday to meet the growing demand for smart devices there. ISMARTU Technology BD Ltd, a subsidiary of Transsion Holdings, represents popular smart brands such as TECNO, Itel, Infinix, oraimo and Syinix. The new factory, located in the Meghna Industrial Economic Zone, Narayanganj, has a total investment of $22 million in the first phase of construction and covers an area of over 22,000 square meters. It is equipped with the latest technology and adheres to high international standards of quality and safety.
