Yuyao to hold Robotop summit on May 23-25
More than 70 projects are expected to be signed at the 8th China Robotop and Intelligent Economic Talents Summit to be held in Yuyao in East China's Zhejiang province, from May 23 to 25. The three-day event will focus on the core technology and application of robots as well as the digitalization of the industry. More than 1,200 participants, including a number of high-level academicians, will attend the summit.
Hunan sees robust growth in foreign trade
Foreign trade in Hunan province grew robustly in the first four months of 2023, the Customs in Changsha, the provincial capital, said. Foreign trade value touched 243.65 billion yuan ($35 billion) from January to April, up 49.6 percent year-on-year. The export value increased by 58.7 percent year-on-year to 172.93 billion yuan, while imports rose 31.1 percent year-on-year to 70.71 billion yuan, it said.
PBOC adds liquidity via reverse repos
China's central bank continued to inject funds into the financial system through open market operations on Wednesday. The People's Bank of China said it has conducted 2 billion yuan ($286.7 million) of seven-day reverse repos at an interest rate of 2 percent.
