Busy port in Zhejiang enveloped in fog

The bustling Chuanshan area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port in Zhejiang province recently resembled a Lego world enveloped in fog, with containers stacked high and trucks streaming along the roads.

As a sea-rail transit point, the area is an important bridge connecting inland goods and overseas markets.

In 2022, container throughput in the Chuanshan port area surpassed 10.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units — accounting for one-third of the total of Ningbo Zhoushan Port — and 555,100 TEUs were handled via the sea-rail combined transport mode.
