China launches new remote-sensing satellite

China launched a Long March-4C carrier rocket on Friday afternoon to place a new remote-sensing satellite in space.
The Yaogan-34 04 satellite lifted at 2:27pm (Beijing Time) on Friday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the country's northwestern desert, and then entered its preset orbit.
It will mainly be used in the fields of national land surveying, urban planning, road network designing, crop yield estimation, disaster prevention and mitigation.
This mission was the 470th flight of the Long March carrier rockets.
