Huawei announces Meng Wanzhou as rotating chairperson

Meng Wanzhou will serve as rotating chairperson of Huawei Technologies Co from April 1 to September 30, according to the company, which has selected its new board of directors.

Meng, daughter of Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, made frequent public appearances last month to deepen Huawei's partnership with two State-owned companies.

She visited China National Building Material Group Co Ltd, the world's largest manufacturer of building materials, and China Huaneng Group Co Ltd, a major domestic power company, in early February.
