China and US should look at bigger picture, says both countries' representatives

On Friday, Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met with Craig Allen, president of the United States-China Business Council, and representatives of the organization's member companies, the Ministry of Commerce announced in an online statement.
The two sides exchanged views on Sino-US economic and trade relations, the development of US enterprises in China and other issues, the ministry said.
Wang said the two countries' top leaders pointed out during their November meeting in Bali, Indonesia last year, that the Chinese and US economies are deeply integrated, and the two sides should adhere to the principles of mutual respect, win-win cooperation and serving the bigger picture, to provide a good atmosphere and stable relations for bilateral cooperation.
China is willing to implement such consensus, and will unwaveringly expand high-level opening-up, the minister said, adding the country will provide better services and development environment for foreign-funded enterprises, and strive to stabilize expectations for cooperation between enterprises from China and the US. He also responded to the concerns of US enterprises.
Allen and the representatives expressed their congratulations on the successful holding of the two sessions, China's top political event in a year, which concluded on March 13 this year. They also said they have felt the strong signal from the Chinese government to promote economic growth and will continue to be committed to their long-term development in China.
