Auto race held on frozen Heilong River

The 2023 Heilongjiang International Ice and Snow Auto Race kicked off on the frozen Heilong River on Sunday, attracting some 500 spectators from Heihe, Heilongjiang province, and the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk.

The competition was divided into two groups, including small-displacement automobiles and big-displacement automobiles, the Heilongjiang provincial Sports Bureau reported.

Each team from the two countries sent 20 automobiles to participate in the competition.

The participants drove on two race tracks with a circumference of 1.5 kilometers and 3.8 km respectively, with the winners having the lowest combined time.
