Exports from Tibet double last year's value

The total value of foreign trade in the Tibet autonomous region reached 4.16 billion yuan ($595 million) in the first 11 months of this year, an increase of 13.9 percent year-on-year, Tibet Daily reported.
Exports reached 3.9 billion yuan of total trade, doubling the level of same period last year. Imports were valued at 262 million yuan, a decrease of 84 percent year-on-year, according to Lhasa Customs.
During the period, the region conducted trade with 94 countries and regions around the world, an increase of 30 countries and regions over the same period last year.
