Textile, apparel exports log steady growth
China's exports of textile and apparel products registered a steady expansion in the first 10 months of this year, official data showed. The country's textile exports were worth $125.7 billion during the period, up 6.9 percent year-on-year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said. China's exports of apparel and accessories rose 6.4 percent year-on-year to $147.6 billion, within which apparel exports hit $130.4 billion, up 10.3 percent year-on-year. China's major textile enterprises saw their combined operating revenue climb 1.6 percent year-on-year to top 4.28 trillion yuan in the January-October period.
Guangxi high-speed railway starts ops
A high-speed railway in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has started operations after four years of construction, facilitating the region's links with economies of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The Nanning-Chongzuo section, spanning 119.3 kilometers and partially built by China Railway No 4 Engineering Group Co Ltd since December 2018, is part of the 201-km Nanning-Pingxiang HSR. Pingxiang is a county-level city under prefecture-level Chongzuo, while Nanning is the regional capital of Guangxi. Some 5,800 CREC4 builders participated in building the section, which is expected to help bolster China-ASEAN trade.
