Forum to revolutionize museum experience
The China Private Museum Innovation and Development Forum will kick off in Ningbo on Nov 26.
With the theme "Common Futures", the forum, part of the Dongqian Lake Education Forum, aims to bridge more museums to further cooperate and conduct exchanges.
It will be a way to help solve problems faced by museums and provide more creative and possible methods to facilitate sustainable growth, according to its organizers.
It's also said that private museums could be a positive power to drive cultural circles. The COVID-19 pandemic has also pushed museums to update into digital and high-tech institutions.
Curator of the CAFA Art Museum Zhang Zikang, along with director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Shanghai, Francesco D'Arelli, will deliver keynote speeches at the forum. Dozens of culture professionals will attend the forum to discuss the challenges and opportunities that private museums will face in the near future.
In addition to the forum, a report focused on private museums in Ningbo will also be issued to provide an example for all museums in China.
