China's civil aviation sector will start its new winter and spring season on Sunday, and many domestic airlines have released plans for resuming and increasing the number of international passenger flights.

On Wednesday, China Southern Airlines, one of the country's three major carriers, resumed flights between Guangzhou and Jakarta, Indonesia, which had been suspended since February 2020.

The route includes two round-trip flights per week in the beginning and is expected to reach five round trips per week later.

The China Southern flight linking Dalian, Liaoning province, with Tokyo, Japan, resumed on Tuesday. It had been suspended since March 2020.

On Monday, the Dalian-Seoul flight also resumed.

With the resumption of more and more international routes, ticket prices on most international flights have fallen sharply.

In Kunming, Yunnan province, the most popular price range for international flights is 1,000 to 2,000 yuan. The Kunming routes mainly serve Southeast Asian cities.
