The 20th CPC National Congress special: Dialogue with delegates

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened on Sunday.

Of the more than 2,000 attending delegates, five have been invited in our online interview that will air live at 7 pm on Thursday.

Li Hongta, laureate of the July 1 Medal, the highest honor the Party conferred to outstanding members, will share his family's spirit of service. Li, representing Anhui province this time, has been working in civil affairs sector for many years before retirement. He is the grandson of Li Dazhao, one of the founders of CPC.

Li Naluo, a delegate from Yunnan province, will show how her village, home to the Lahu ethnic group, has tapped local people's music talents to create a booming tourism industry. Li, also a musician and songwriter, will be more than just a storyteller.

Hou Yan, a Qingqiang actress, has always known where to find her audience – the remote rural areas of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region. As the laureate of Plum Blossom Award, the highest theatrical honor in China, Hou will talk about how traditional culture can still keep in time.

He Kaiping, a Chinese liquor taster, is the voice of Guizhou province and its iconic liquor industry.

Liu Chuanbo, an electrician from Liaoning province, sets an example as an ordinary man but with an extraordinary tale.
