Mercedes-Benz enhances China footprint with EV shift

In June, the VISION EQXX recorded a range of 1,202 km on a single charge from Germany to the United Kingdom under real road conditions and achieved a record efficiency of 8.3 kilowatt hours per 100 kilometers.
Later this month, the VISION EQXX will be on a cross-country roadshow in China - the market with almost the most tech-savvy customers worldwide - presenting the brand's latest technology plans in electric drive and car software.
Dedicated to "Growing in China, with China"
For Mercedes-Benz, China is positioned as one of the most important markets in the group's global strategy, and the company anticipates it to be home to the biggest innovation and growth potential for the luxury auto market over the next 10 years.
For over two decades, with the goal to "grow in China and with China", Mercedes-Benz has continuously invested in China together with local partners and expanded its local R&D, procurement and production.
Long-term Sino-German cooperation has been an important factor to cater to local customer demand and grow with the industry for a shared future.
Mercedes-Benz is in long-term partnerships with Chinese industrial partners, tech companies, academic institutions and start-ups.
For instance, this year marks the 10th anniversary of cooperation between Mercedes-Benz and the renowned Tsinghua University.
As an important milestone and a new starting point, both sides will further widen and elaborate their joint research fields in sustainable mobility.
