US' trade policies under review

China's Ministry of Commerce issued a notice soliciting concerns and comments on trade policies of the United States in the run-up to a meeting of the World Trade Organization, the ministry said in an online statement on Wednesday.
The WTO's trade policy review body will hold its 15th meeting on the US trade policy from Dec 14 to Dec 16. WTO members, in the meantime, will conduct a comprehensive review and assessment of the development of the US trade and investment policies and the impact they have made since 2019, according to the statement.
China will undertake the review in which it will incorporate the views of the domestic corporate sector.
The US is a major WTO member and one of China's important trading partners. Inputs from Chinese companies help the ministry better understand the barriers and discriminatory treatment encountered by them in trade and investment with the US, said the ministry.
The local companies, trade associations and research institutions concerned may send their questions, concerns and comments in writing or via email to tbsy@mofcom.gov.cn; zhongke@mofcom.gov.cn - to the Department of WTO Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, before Nov 18, the ministry said.
