Etihad may resume flights to Guangzhou
Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways said subject to regulatory approvals, it will resume flights to Guangzhou, Guangdong province, from Oct 10. If the plan pans out, Etihad would become the first international airline to operate long-haul passenger services to the top three Chinese gateways since the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted operations in 2020. The semiweekly passenger service to Guangzhou will use Boeing B777 aircraft. Dubai-based Emirates said it will increase its current semiweekly round-trip flights between Dubai and Guangzhou to four flights per week from Oct 2. All the flights will use the Airbus A380 aircraft.
