Birds in Ningxia have a friend in photographer

Yue Changhong, a veteran photographer in Shizuishan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, sees his pictures of birds as a personal responsibility to record changes in the ecological environment of his hometown.

Yue, 53, has taken photos of different kinds of birds for about a decade. To capture vivid moments, he goes to lakes and wetlands along the Yellow River, sometimes lying in the reeds for up to 10 hours to take a few pictures.
