Heilongjiang Jan-July goods trade higher
China's northernmost province of Heilongjiang saw its foreign trade in goods grow 31.9 percent year-on-year to 145.06 billion yuan ($21.52 billion) in the first seven months, according to local Customs. In the January-July period, Heilongjiang's imports rose 36.4 percent year-on-year to 117.76 billion yuan, while its exports grew 15.4 percent to 27.3 billion yuan, said Harbin Customs.
Power generation expands last month
China's power generation rose 4.5 percent year-on-year to 805.9 billion kilowatt-hours in July, said the National Bureau of Statistics. In the January-July period, total power generation increased 1.4 percent year-on-year to 4.77 trillion kWh. Thermal power generation rose 5.3 percent year-on-year in July, reversing a drop in June, and hydropower output rose 2.4 percent from a year ago, said the NBS. Wind and solar power generation increased 5.7 percent and 13 percent last month, respectively, while nuclear power output decreased 3.3 percent year-on-year.
