Debt repayments, worker shortages, and rising energy bills pushed almost two-thirds of the UK's top 100 restaurants into the red.
The owner of one Chinese restaurant in London said: "We had to reduce as many as possible and save as many as possible … for some high-cost, unstable supply, we had to cancel the dish."
