Italian relics bridge two cultures in Beijing

Despite the high temperature during the Major Heat, one of the 24 solar terms, people’s passion for museums seems stronger. For instance National Museum in Beijing, a must-go place for both locals and those visiting the city for a summer vacation, its online reservation system is very busy nowadays.

One of the popular choices is the exhibition, Tota Italia-Origins of a Nation, unveiled at the museum on July 10.

503 pieces of cultural relics from Italy’s 26 national museums are being showcased at the event. People can find how the country’s civilization prospered from 4th century BC to 1st century AD.

2022 marks the start of the Year of China-Italy Culture and Tourism, and also meets the 110 anniversary of the establishment of the National Museum.

The exhibition will run through Oct 9.
