Watch it again: Celebrating Hong Kong's return to the motherland

July 1 marks the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to motherland.

Two days ahead of the special day, China Daily is launching special live coverage, inviting guest speakers from different areas to commemorate the city's past and look to the future.

Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, a national political advisor from Hong Kong, will share his observations on exchanges between the city and Chinese mainland. He will also offer his views on the city's governance, explaining why having "patriots administer Hong Kong" matters.

Wang Hao, deputy editor-in-chief of China Daily, will review the newspaper's best Hong Kong stories, while Zou Hanru will provide more local knowledge about this year's celebrations as deputy editor-in-chief of China Daily's Hong Kong edition.

John Ross, a senior fellow at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of the Renmin University of China, will discuss Hong Kong's economic future, while Stephen Phillips, director-general of investment promotion at InvestHK, will share about the city's new hope – startups.

Both born in 1997, Hong Kong youth Li Yuen Yung Ada, a house officer at Hong Kong Hospital Authority, and Chan Sze Lai, a filmmaker, have chosen different career paths. However, both learned to share Hong Kong's many stories.

Zeng Jingqiang, a Guangdong-born entrepreneur, will introduce the Greater Bay Area's startup policies.

Tune in at 7 pm on June 29 to watch it live.
