Small firms to get help on rent, bills
Small and micro-sized enterprises in the services sector and individual businesses that rent properties from China's State-owned enterprises will be exempted from rent for three months across the country this year, said the country's top State-asset regulator. As such enterprises play a key role in supporting the market, promoting employment and maintaining economic stability, the government and the SOEs will offer supportive measures such as preferential electricity prices for businesses in catering, retail, tourism, civil aviation, road, water and railway transportation, to minimize the impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a circular issued by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council on Wednesday.
Logistics biz expands in first four months
China's logistics sector reported steady growth in the first four months of 2022, showed an industry report on Wednesday. Social logistics rose 3.6 percent year-on-year in the first four months to 106.2 trillion yuan ($15.95 trillion), said the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing in an industry report. On a monthly basis, the growth rate of social logistics shrank 3 percent in April from the same period last year.
