Dong people pass down wood construction technique

Construction skills of the traditional wooden frame structures in Tongdao Dong autonomous county, Huaihua in Central China's Hunan province was included in the first national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006. As the technique is passed down from older generations, craftsmen here build special local constructions such as the famous Wind-Rain bridges, village gates, drum towers and pavilions; carrying forward this intangible cultural heritage while providing a cozy cultural community for villagers.
