Sailing center for Asian Games emerges

The Asian Games Sailing Center is unlike other Asian Games venues for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022. Half the center is located on land; the other half is at sea.

With a total investment of about 600 million yuan ($92.3 million), the center will be the first sports venue in Zhejiang qualified to host international A-level sailing sports competitions.

The sailing competition of the Asian Games will be held from Sept 14 to 21. Around 210 athletes and 175 technical officials from 19 countries and regions are expected to participate in the competition, with 14 gold medals to be awarded.

On April 13, the venue was shrouded in a thin mist, making for a mysterious and picturesque scene.
