5 shot, unexploded devices found in subway
Five people were shot on Tuesday morning at a subway station in Brooklyn, New York, The Associated Press quoted law enforcement sources as saying. Fire personnel responding to reports of smoke at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park neighborhood found multiple people shot and undetonated devices, a New York City Fire Department spokesperson said. The fire department said 13 people were injured, but there were no details on what those injuries entailed. Preliminary information indicated a suspect fled wearing a construction vest and a gas mask.

PM Johnson to be fined over lockdown parties
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and finance minister Rishi Sunak will be fined by police for breaching COVID-19 lockdown rules, the government said on Tuesday. Police said earlier on Tuesday they would issue at least another 30 fines for people who attended gatherings in Johnson's offices and residence in breach of strict coronavirus lockdown rules, taking the total to more than 50. The "Partygate" scandal has angered many in Britain and seen dozens of politicians and officials investigated over allegations that the government flouted its own pandemic restrictions.
