China Mobile objects to US FCC decision

China Mobile said on Tuesday the US Federal Communications Commission's decision to add China Mobile International USA to a list of alleged national security threats lacked factual basis, deliberately smeared and unfairly treated Chinese companies.
The comments came after the FCC on Friday added China Mobile International USA, China Telecom (Americas) Corp and Russia's AO Kaspersky Lab to its list of communications equipment and service providers covered as alleged threats to US national security.
China Mobile said in a statement to China Daily that China Mobile International USA has strictly complied with the laws and regulations of China and related countries and regions including the United States, and has always been operating in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The company said it will keep in touch with China Mobile International USA, pay attention to relevant developments, and take necessary measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.
