Foundation to champion rural cause

The ZhongShe Social Work Development Foundation, set up in Beijing in 2011 by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, has vowed to contribute more to the cause of rural revitalization. Zhao Pengqi, its president, said the organization will cooperate with various social work service agencies and stations in streets and towns nationwide to undertake the job. The foundation will also build its own brands to help rural industries to thrive, and boost living standards in rural areas and effective governance.

Chemical production to be made safer

China has issued a plan to enhance work on the safe production of hazardous chemicals to prevent major accidents and improve workplace safety. The plan, issued by the Ministry of Emergency Management, detailed the major targets to ensure the safe production of hazardous chemicals and fireworks, as well as oil and gas over the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25).
