Drought sends US cotton prices to 10-year high

The ongoing drought in parts of the central United States has pushed cotton prices to their highest level in more than a decade. On Monday, the plant fiber reached $1.3171 per pound (about 453 grams) on the key US futures contract, the highest since July 2011, AFP reported.
