Expressway opened to support Asian Games
A smart expressway, a key supporting project for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, opened for traffic in Zhejiang province on Saturday, to serve the competition zone in Shaoxing. The 20.9-kilometer Yuyue Smart Expressway, partly built by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co Ltd, is the country's first urban viaduct to adopt fully prefabricated assembly technology, introducing five digital smart systems. It starts from Yuexing Road in the east and ends at Jianshui Road in the west, and cuts the driving time from Hangzhou to the Shaoxing venue from one hour to 25 minutes. The Games will be held between Sept 10 and 25.
