Pork prices fall in February
Pork prices in China declined last month, official data showed. The average pork price index in 16 provincial-level regions tracked by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was 16.79 yuan ($2.65) per kg in February, down 13.1 percent month-on-month. The price index fell 55.2 percent compared with the same period last year, narrowing by 2.4 percentage points from the previous month's decrease.
China's auto sales climb last month
China's auto sales in February rose 18.7 percent year-on-year to 1.74 million units, data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers showed on Friday. Auto sales in the January-February period totaled 4.27 million units, up 7.5 percent year-on-year, according to the data. In February alone, sales of passenger vehicles increased 27.8 percent year-on-year to 1.49 million units.
