China continues work to evacuate citizens from Ukraine

The Foreign Ministry and the Chinese embassy in Ukraine are studying every feasible plan for Chinese citizens to evacuate from Ukraine voluntarily and safely, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on Monday.

The ministry and the embassy are following the situation closely, Wang said, adding they will continue to evaluate security risks, collaborate with all parties, try their best to utilize all resources available and assist Chinese citizens to evacuate under the premise of ensured safety.

Pointing out the security of air and land routes in the country is currently "extremely unstable", Wang alerted Chinese citizens in Ukraine to keep abreast of their local situations, stay calm and take all necessary precautions to remain safe.
