The first shipment of 140 prefabricated isolation rooms — part of a so-called cabin hospital — have been loaded on two barges and sent from Guangdong province to Hong Kong to help the special administrative region fight the current COVID-19 outbreak.
The freight operator, Sinotrans, finished loading the last structures on Friday morning, after two days of around-the-clock work.
The isolation rooms, which began their journey at the Humen Port Phase II wharf in Dongguan, Guangdong, will be put to use in two community isolation and treatment facilities in Hong Kong, Sinotrans said.
