Hospital structures head to HK from Guangdong

The first of 140 isolation rooms are loaded on a barge to begin their journey from Guangdong province to Hong Kong to help the city fight the COVID-19 pandemic. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

Construction started at Penny's Bay and Kai Tak Pier in Hong Kong on Saturday.

The two permanent facilities are expected to provide about 9,500 quarantine units when fully operational.
