6 babies born to endangered elephants

Six newborn elephants were observed at the Wild Elephant Valley in Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture in Yunnan province recently. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The January-April period is a peak time for the elephants to give birth. The newborns are from four different herds; all are said to be healthy.
