A1: We have actively participated in CIIE from the very beginning. This year, as the entire world recovers from the pandemic, Microsoft hopes to continue to leverage the CIIE platform to share our experience in how we, acting as trusted partner of our customers, supported them in their digital transformation in China and around the world.

A2: We see CIIE as a bridge and platform for multinational companies to develop their business in China and for Chinese companies to go global, sharing their experiences and solutions across different sectors. This is especially meaningful when parts of the world still suffer from the pandemic and global economic recovery faces severe challenges.

A3: China's response to COVID-19 has allowed the nation to recover and return to growth at an impressive rate. As a result, China has made significant contributions to global economic recovery. China's support for global trade and how China is integrating its economy with the rest of the world is certainly welcomed by many at this unique time.

A4: The Chinese market has witnessed accelerated digital transformation of its economy. Microsoft, with its extensive experience, advanced technologies, as well as a powerful ecosystem of Chinese and global partners, have worked alongside with our customers in their digital transformation journeys. Whether that is local Chinese companies or brands looking to grow their global markets, or multinational companies looking to expand and innovate in China, Microsoft offers leading, trusted platforms and solutions to help them achieve their goals and success.

A5: Microsoft has been in China for nearly 30 years and the changes in the business environment we witness have been most encouraging. As China adopts digital transformation and innovation as core development principles, Microsoft will continue to play an impactful role to support our customers and partners in China, and be able to further our mission to empower every person and every organization to achieve more.

A6: Many of our customers are excited to see, and are benefiting from the fact, that China has been making great efforts in opening its markets to the world and engaging in global trade. Especially at a time when the world still suffers from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, international cooperation among all governments and business communities, including that of China, will be critical to the recovery and growth of the global economy.

A7: With globalization of the economy, it will be tremendously important for businesses to be able to operate, to the extent possible, in a harmonious regulatory environment. This will allow multinational enterprises to operate and offer products and services to end customers wherever they are with consistency, and at lower compliance costs. Likewise, Chinese corporations exploring overseas markets will also benefit.

A8: China's support for global trade and how China is integrating its economy with the rest of the world is certainly welcomed by many at this unique time.
