Honor unveils phone for global market
Honor Device Co Ltd is bringing its first global phone to more than 40 markets after gaining independence from Huawei Technologies Co. The global availability of the Honor 50 reinforces the company's ambitious overseas expansion plans following its successful launch in China earlier this year. The Honor 50, unveiled in multiple markets in Europe, Africa and other regions on Tuesday, is equipped with Google Mobile Services and it is the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G mobile platform.
Central bank conducts reverse repos
China's central bank on Wednesday injected 200 billion yuan ($31.3 billion) into the financial system via reverse repos. The interest rate for the seven-day repos was set at 2.2 percent, according to the People's Bank of China.
CNNC installs dome on Fujian nuclear plant
China National Nuclear Corp's power generator in Zhangzhou, Fujian province, which uses China's self-developed Hualong One nuclear reactor, completed its dome installation on Wednesday, said the company. CNNC said the installation of the dome is a milestone for the overall construction process and the completed structure will play an essential role in isolating nuclear radiation produced inside the reactor.
