Beijing lifts lockdowns of 2 communities

Beijing lifted its lockdown of two residential communities on Friday — the Longyueyuan No 2 residential community in Changping district, where the person lives who was first confirmed with COVID-19 during the latest round of the pandemic, and the Guoxingjiayuan community in Haidian district.

The Longyueyuan case was identified on July 28, the municipal health authority said. Daily life returned to normal on Friday, although residents were encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel out of the capital.
