The exhibition Chinese Lacquer Ware of the Qianlong Reign from The Palace Museum recently opened to the public at the Guardian Art Center in Beijing.

The Palace Museum has collected more than 18,000 sets of lacquerware, with the largest number from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), especially the Qianlong period.

The exhibition, featuring more than 100 pieces of Qianlong-era lacquerware from the Palace Museum, is divided into five sections to present the style, characteristics and artistic aesthetics of lacquerware techniques in this period.

The exhibition will run through Oct 12.
