Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao is offering themed dinners, with lobsters on Tuesday and steaks on Wednesday, at its Essence restaurant. At its Pulse bar, six customized cocktails are free to women every Tuesday. Meanwhile, a live piano performance is staged from Wednesday to Friday each week.
II Forno, an Italian steakhouse at the Grand Hyatt Shenyang in Liaoning province, has changed its menu. With seasonal inspirations, the new menu created by the hotel's executive sous chef and his culinary team will surprise Italian cuisine lovers, according to a hotel statement.
A high-end dining venue named House-which stands just outside Yu Mansion, a Chinese restaurant at KHOS Shenyang-was launched in the provincial capital city of Liaoning in mid-July. It encompasses six luxurious houses set in a garden. Its design is inspired by classical Chinese architecture, each featuring a separate entrance, stunning interiors and spacious dining and lounge areas.

To celebrate Qixi Festival, the Chinese equivalent of Valentine's Day on Aug 14, Renaissance Xi'an Hotel in Shaanxi province will launch themed dinners that day. At its all-day dining destination Food Studio, a buffet supper is to be offered with Champagne, chocolate and roses, creating a romantic atmosphere. At the hotel's Wan Li Chinese restaurant, chefs will craft a festive dinner menu for couples featuring authentic Cantonese cuisine.
Paradise Island Cafe, a poolside restaurant at the InterContinental Chengdu Global Center, has prepared a special evening buffet for Chinese Valentine's Day. Select ingredients include Icelandic oysters, New Zealand clams, Argentine prawns and Angus steaks.
